In between North Myrtle Beach and the area known as "Restaurant Row" sits the tiny town of Briarcliffe. Most of this little city-within-a-city is a gated home community, but one part of it includes a nice residential condominium complex known as Briarcliffe West.
These condos are older, individualized to each owner, and offer a nice outdoor pool and clubhouse for the residents. Other amenities include tennis courts, a playground, and walking trails around the complex. You can also walk to the mall. The units are larger than most that are geared more for rental income, offering 2 and 3 bedrooms with spacious baths and private balconies. They are a nice alternative for those who want to live close to Hwy 17. Many units have upgrades such as granite countertops, garden and jacuzzi tubs, hardwood flooring, and even electric fireplaces.
The biggest draw for Briarcliffe West is the location...just a minute's drive to Barefoot Landing, the Myrtle Beach Mall, Walmart, Red Lobster, and all the many other restaurants between the two cities. Briarcliffe is exactly in the middle between Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach as well. Schools for this area are Myrtle Beach Elementary, Middle School, and High School. Briarcliffe is outside all the city limits around it, so taxes are lower, too!
