Colonial Charters is an 18 hole, 6400-yard course located off Hwy 9 in Longs. A community with multiple subdivisions of single-family homes, condos, and townhomes are located all around the golf course, likewise named Colonial Charters. One of the newer subdivisions, called Palmetto Greens, was developed by H&H Homes in recent years (2019).

H&H Builder is known for extremely energy-efficient homes, with extra-thick walls and R19 insulation. Upgrades that would be considered optional with other builders are standard with an H&H home in Palmetto Greens, such as stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, hardwood flooring, patios, front and rear porches, and much more. 2-car garages and sodded yards are standard as well. Children at Palmetto Greens will attend Riverside Elementary, North Myrtle Beach Middle, and North Myrtle Beach High School.

The entrance to Colonial Charters is across the street from a shopping center, which includes three or four excellent restaurants, a bank, drug store, and other businesses. It's just about a 10-minute drive to North Myrtle Beach and all that it has to offer. Being outside the city limits also makes for low property taxes!
