Homes for Sale in Marina Bay and Marina Bay Colony
Luxury Homes on the Intracoastal Waterway
A small community of very large, often extravagant, and extraordinarily beautiful homes on the Intracoastal Waterway, Marina Bay represents some of the most expensive and exclusive homes in North Myrtle Beach. Some homes and lots face Doc Holiday's Marina, have private docks and boat slips, and views both of the yacht basin and the Waterway. The community was established in 2009.
Many of the homes are of the style known as "Charleston Style" but they are so much larger, so much more impressive, we're not sure it's an accurate description. Average sizes are 3 floors, 4-6 bedrooms with 4-6 baths, and sized up to 6000 square feet. Prices range from around $600,000 for the smaller homes with less direct water views to several million for the largest with boat access. Many have their own pool, and all are elaborately detailed with every upgrade imaginable, 2-3 car garages, vaulted ceilings, elevators, designer kitchens and furnishings, and every extra you can think of.
Lots are also available in all sections, from the primo direct marina views to less expensive interior lots. You can use your own builder for custom built homes when you purchase a homesite, and they range from $150-$300,000.
Marina Bay Colony Homes
Opening in 2014, an even newer part of Marina Bay is now building smaller, more affordable homes in the price range of $300,000. This is called Marina Bay Colony. These homes are narrow, 3 story luxury homes with the first floor being a 2-car garage. They still average 5 beds and 4-5 baths, but are not as wide as the original Marina Bay homes - from 2600 to 2800 sq ft. A few have direct Waterway access, but most offer distance views of the water, and the streets are beautifully landscaped. They also have a community pool.
This development is off Hwy 17 just north of Carrabbas and Mellow Mushroom, with nearby convenience to the best of North Myrtle Beach's shopping. Ride a golf cart to Lowes, Walmart, Home Depot, Outback, and the newest shopping center, North Coast Center.
