Michael Pope – Real Estate Q&A

1. Why am I a good fit for real estate?

 - I’m a strong fit for real estate because I bring 40 years of proven sales and leadership experience, along with a people-first mindset. As a former General Manager, I built my career on trust, communication, negotiation, and follow-through—skills that directly translate to real estate. I’m approachable, dependable, and passionate about the coastal Carolina lifestyle, which allows me to connect naturally with clients and guide them confidently through important buying and selling decisions.

2. Where am I originally from?

 - I grew up in Bladenboro, North Carolina, just a short distance from the coast. I’ve lived in the North Myrtle Beach–Little River area for over 20 years, giving me deep local knowledge and a strong connection to the coastal Carolina lifestyle and community.

3. What brought me to the area?

 - I was drawn to the area by both career opportunity and the coastal lifestyle. After growing up near the coast in North Carolina, North Myrtle Beach felt like a natural fit. Over time, it became home—not just because of work, but because of the community, the pace of life, and the lifestyle my family and I enjoy.

4. What are some of my favorite restaurants?

 - Some of my favorite restaurants are locally owned spots that really capture the coastal lifestyle, like Oyster Rock, Clark’s Chop House, The Italian Fisherman, and Hook & Barrel. I enjoy places with great food, fresh seafood, and a relaxed atmosphere where you can take your time and enjoy good company.

5. What are some of my favorite activities?

 - Some of my favorite activities revolve around the coastal lifestyle. I enjoy spending time at the beach, playing golf, listening to beach music, and dancing. I also like relaxing with friends, enjoying good food, and taking advantage of everything the coastal Carolina area has to offer.

6. What are my favorite sports teams?

 - I’m a fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. I enjoy following football and baseball, and I love the camaraderie and community that come with rooting for your favorite teams.

7. Do I play any sports?

 - I enjoy staying active and playing sports when I can, especially golf, which I’ve loved for years. It’s a great way to stay outdoors, challenge myself, and spend time with friends.

8. Do I have a pet?

 - Yes, I have a Boykin Spaniel named Brady, which is the official state dog of South Carolina. She’s a big part of our family and loves life on the coast just as much as we do.

9. What are you passionate about?

 - I’m passionate about helping people find their perfect home, enjoying the coastal lifestyle, and spending quality time with my family, friends, and Brady.

10. How important is customer service to me?
