My name is Derek Reed and I am originally from Punxsutawney, PA. I have been in the Myrtle Beach area since 2006 and LOVE it here.
Family is very important to me, and I have been very blessed in finding my lovely wife, Amanda. We have 3 children, two extremely bright and talented teenagers and a 6-year-old wild man who is in First Grade. I can't leave out our wonderfully loud and energetic two-year-old rescue dog, Flash. If you ask my 6-year-old he'll tell you Santa Rescued him from a local shelter on the Christmas before last. (LOL). They all mean the world to me and keep me motivated to succeed for them. Having my own family also provides extra inspiration to help other families, like ours, to find their dream home.
Since 2007, I have been a certified Golf Instructor/Professional and have worked as a Professional at two local courses here in the Myrtle Beach area. I love to play golf and I even played professionally for a few years before moving into the instruction field full time.
In February 2022, I had an unbelievable opportunity to join The Mills Group at Century 21 Barefoot, and I could not pass it up. I can bring my energy and passion to work with me each day, and I know I have a team around me that shares this intense motivation to improve lives one home sale at a time.
